We are excited to be offering a trip to London in 2019 through our Glenmeadow Getaways program, which offers frequent day trips as well as occasional global adventures.
Come with us February 15-24, 2019, on the London Theatre Tour, and join Joanna “Joey” Rosenthal and expert local guides on a small group tour of the London cultural scene. We’ll enjoy a performance of Sondheim’s musical Follies at the National Theatre, a visit and luncheon at the historic Englefield House, the Edward Burne-Jones exhibit at Tate Britain, and other outstanding performances, exhibits, and discussions.
We will meet with major artists associated with the productions and enjoy gourmet experiences.
Learn more about the London trip, and all of the upcoming Getaways programs, on Tuesday, August 28 at 3 p.m. at our Life Plan Community during a presentation called Sneak Peeks: Our Upcoming Programs and Trips.
We’ll provide information about upcoming day and evening trips to musical, dance, and theater performances, as well as our Glenmeadow Learning programs on topics ranging from trivia to sex and older adults.
To register for Sneak Peeks, call Julie Jediny at 413.355.5972 or email jjediny@glenmeadow.org or register online at glenmeadow.org/events

Carmen
Met Opera Live in HD
at Rave Cinemas
West Springfield
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2019
No long drive to New York City, but you’ll get to experience the Met Opera in HD! Bizet’s masterpiece of the gypsy seductress who lives by her own rules has had an impact far beyond the opera house. The opera’s melodic sweep is as irresistible as the title character herself, a force of nature who has become a defining female cultural figure. “Carmen” was a scandal at its premiere but soon after became a triumphant success and has remained one of the most frequently staged operas in the world. Enjoy a three-course dinner at Lattitude after the screening. Hosted by Seymour Frankel and Joan Rosenbaum.
Itineraries and program details for our Getaways are available on our Events page.
Registration for Glenmeadow Getaways is ongoing. Sign-up is on a first-come, first-served basis, so book early. Contact Julie Jediny at 413.355.5972 or jjediny@glenmeadow.org
