Dr. Kathy Martin
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Martin brings to the role more than two decades of nonprofit leadership experience. She is currently Assistant Provost for Accreditation and Administration at UMass Amherst and previously served Springfield College in several roles, most recently Chief of Staff. Her experience in higher education includes prior posts at Bay Path University, Susquehanna University, and Bucknell University. Her volunteer leadership experience includes membership on the Board of Directors of Glenmeadow and Link to Libraries. She is also a corporator of Square One.
Dr. Martin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education (Sport Management) from Keene State College and her Master of Science in Physical Education (Athletics Administration) and Doctor of Physical Education degree (with a Specialization in Sport Psychology) from Springfield College. She lives in West Springfield, MA with her wife, Dr. Andrea Hickson-Martin, and their two Golden Retrievers, Piper, a certified therapy dog and Cagney.

VP of Finance and Operations
David Leslie
Vice President of Finance and Operations
David has been with Glenmeadow since 1996 when we were still located at our previous home in Springfield. He is one of two remaining team members that made the move from Chestnut Street in Springfield to our Longmeadow location. David has a Bachelors of Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Masters of Business Administration (Healthcare Administration) from Western New England University.
David’s favorite part of working at Glenmeadow is the relationships with the residents. He has been known to say that “It is like having 150 grandparents.” In addition to his responsibilities at Glenmeadow, David is also on the Board of Directors for the Employers Association of the Northeast and is an Aging Services/CCRC surveyor for CARF International.
In his spare time, David enjoys acting in local theatrical productions and playing baseball.

Meaghan Carrier
Vice President of Health and Member Services
Meaghan Carrier, MSW, LCSW, SPHR, is the Vice President of Health & Member Services. She has been a member of the Glenmeadow Community since 2018. Starting as the Director of Home Care, she then became the Vice President of Community Services. Currently, she has the pleasure of working with the Health Services, Home Care, Life Enrichment, and Hospitality teams.
Her favorite part about working at Glenmeadow has been making connections with families, facilitating connections between residents and team members and those families, and then watching those relationships grow.
Working at Glenmeadow is both rewarding and inspirational in many ways. Once you know Glenmeadow, it is hard not to love it.

Joy Peterson
Senior Director of Sales and Marketing
Joy Peterson is the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing for Glenmeadow. Joy began her career in long-term care and senior living back in 2000 as a Marketing Assistant for a new Life Plan Community. Since then, she has worked in Senior Living Communities in New Hampshire, first in the Nashua NH area and then Keene NH. Recently, she relocated to Northampton and in December of 2021, began working for Glenmeadow.
Joy has an undergraduate degree from Westfield State University in Political Science and her Masters of Science in Elder Care Marketing from Lasell University. She has worked with thousands of families to help find the right active, independent living, home care or assisted living solution for them.
As Joy’s career has always been in the non-profit, senior living arena, she loved the idea that Glenmeadow was a place with over 100 years of history, a family-like atmosphere and is an organization who puts the residents first. The residents and team members of Glenmeadow are some of the best she has ever had the pleasure of working with.

John Blair
Director of Facilities
In 2007, John started working at Glenmeadow as a third shift custodian. Over the years he has worked his way up to being named director of Facilities in 2020. “Yes, I physically climbed the corporate ladder,” he said with his trademark hearty chuckle.
But people who know John know he’s reluctant to toot his own horn. He’s serious about getting projects done right. He’s also somewhat quiet, and he’s the first to admit it. John’s favorite part of his position is the relationships and friendships he has formed with team members and residents. For example, he recalls working as a Glenmeadow at Home handyman at a woman’s home. “When she moved to Glenmeadow, she asked me how my kids were,” he said. “I love the family atmosphere here, and seeing a resident smile after we do the simplest of tasks. That’s why we’re here.”

Joanne Bousquet
Director of Human Resources
Joanne was born and raised in a small coastal town in Australia. She graduated from the University of New South Wales (B.Art Ed. Hons) and moved to the U.S. soon after. Joanne was initially drawn to Glenmeadow due to its positive reputation within the community, and became the Director of Human Resources in February, 2022.
Joanne believes that it’s the people within an organization who make all the difference. She understands group and team dynamics, and the principles of effective team functioning. She is committed to assisting all Glenmeadow team members to strive to be an essential part of the team while maintaining individuality, and encourages personal and professional growth.
Joanne’s favorite part about working at Glenmeadow is interacting with residents and team members. “I have felt so welcome from my very first day. I can see why people refer to Glenmeadow as being a family! There is just a feeling of kindness and courtesy in the air. I can see why Glenmeadow is an employer of choice within the community”.

Tavia Jones
Director of Home Care
Tavia Jones joined the Glenmeadow at Home team in 2012 as a personal care attendant. Over the years Tavia has taken on more responsibilities such as the on – call supervisor, scheduling coordinator and now the Director of Home care, here at Glenmeadow. She is a firm believer that hard work and dedication does pay off.
From the team members and clients of Glenmeadow at home Tavia is always ready to help “She gets the job done, and done well”.
Tavia’s favorite part about working at Glenmeadow is the amount of time we spend taking care of one another; we are more than just coworkers and employees, we consider ourselves family.
Not only are we able to connect with each other, but we all have something great to offer.
Here at Glenmeadow, Tavia oversees our Glenmeadow at Home department. Glenmeadow at Home has dedicated employees whom all provide care in homes around the greater Springfield area and here at Glenmeadow. Tavia’s main focus is to make sure that all of Glenmeadow at Home’s clients are receiving personalized care that best meets their needs.
During Tavia’s down time, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves anything to do with fashion.

Kelsey McDonald
Director of Wellness
Kelsey McDonald is the Director of Wellness at Glenmeadow. She comes from an educational and practiced background in Occupational Therapy, with a focus in Geriatrics. To her, wellness and occupational therapy go hand-in-hand; wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health outcomes so that our residents are thriving, not just surviving! Working with the residents to create a life enrichment plan is something that she and her team loves to do. She loves that our residents are so full of knowledge, love and life – they truly inspire her! Each day, she learns something new – Glenmeadow team members and residents alike are a wealth of diversity and culture. She feels blessed to be part of the Glenmeadow family!

Kerrie Petroff
Director of Health Services
Kerrie Petroff is the Director of Health Services at Glenmeadow. Kerrie has been a nurse for 6 years, starting as a floor nurse and working her way up to being a Unit Manger. She received her LPN degree from Greenfield Community College and her career has been focused mainly in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.
Nursing is Kerrie’s passion and she loves helping people. When Kerrie started her role, she expressed how “Glenmeadow has been the most welcoming community that I have ever worked in. Everyone treats you like family, whether they are a staff member or a resident.” Kerrie’s knowledge and compassion ensures that the Resident’s well-being is taken care of. “I see myself growing as a person here and becoming an even stronger nurse. I would recommend Glenmeadow to any of my personal family members.”

Melissa Surprise
Director of Hospitality
Melissa joined the Glenmeadow team back in 2010 as a full-time receptionist. In 2013, she was promoted to Human Resources Assistant, where she worked in that role until early 2019, when she was then promoted to Operations Manager. Beginning in January 2022, she was promoted to the Director of Hospitality. Part of her job is providing hospitality support to ensure the best experience possible for all residents and guests, along with overseeing the Concierge and Transportation Departments.
Her favorite part of working at Glenmeadow is being able to meet and work alongside the wonderful residents and team members. Over the years, she have seen what a friendly and engaging atmosphere that Glenmeadow provides to not only the residents and team members, but to the greater Springfield community, which makes this the perfect place to live!

Nick Testa
Director of Food and Beverage
Nick was born and raised in Ansonia, CT, near New Haven – the birthplace of Pizza! Growing up, Nick cooked alongside his grandparents and worked in family owned restaurants throughout his young life.
Nick went to the University of Hartford for a BFA in Ceramics & Multimedia Design. He continued his education by earning two Master’s Degrees; one in Elementary Ed and the other in College Age Psychology.
He worked in college dining programs along the East Coast and developed various culinary businesses throughout New England. Most recently, Nick was the Director of Dining and Events at the Friends of the Homeless Shelter; and the Director of Operations for Azuluna Foods – a small online pasture raised meal company where he was also contributed as a local farmer.
“I enjoy spending time with my family and entertaining large groups of people. I love the beach, the ocean, and anything tropical. I also love musical theater and live music. I love food & beverage & hospitality in general. I can’t wait for some exciting parties and menus at Glenmeadow!”
